What is the blood type diet®?

“sounds like a fad diet”
From the definition alone, you can see that “fad diet” is an inaccurate description of the Blood Type Diet. That is, it is neither temporary nor “popular”. You don’t see ads on TV promoting Eat Right for Your Type, and with good reason; legal responsibility, copyright issues, negative criticism, and mostly financial restrictions. But the fact that ER4YT after 14 years of publishing is still being printed in hard cover, translated in over 50 languages, and has 50 million copies in circulation, means that people are paying attention. If you haven’t already, why not read the book for yourself and see first-hand how Dr D’Adamo is changing lives?

A few facts your doctor didn’t learn in Medical School

Fetus germ layer development is the sole important reason that we have blood type.
The five major ways people died in the 20th century were blood type specific.
Different blood types make different enzymes in the liver and pancreas.
It’s been known since the 1950’s that blood type O is more prone to ulcers.
It’s been known since the 1960’s that blood type A is more prone to heart disease.
PubMed contains over 6,000 MEDLINE articles about blood type that are not related to
         blood transfusions

Is it any wonder that your doctor might not agree with a diet that he’s never heard of, let alone studied, before? Just to clarify, It is not my intent to bash doctors or the medical system, because I believe everything has its place. Medical advancements have done wonders for mankind, including the opportunity to discover all of these blood type connections. But the reason I mention these facts is that many doctors, dietitians, and other healthcare providers are often very critical about the blood type/food concept. My hope is that you will see past these empty remarks, and discover for yourself why so many people are eager to tell you how eating for their blood type has helped them feel better. There’s an entire world of new information that needs to be understood before the pieces start to come together. Which is why this page exists- so let’s get started!
